Creating a Brighter Future
At Downs View we have a dedicated Lead Teaching Assistant (LTA) who is a trained Job Coach. She provides career and work related learning.
Our career programme is centred on increasing our learners’ employability skills.
Each term has a different focus:
Autumn term: Exploring different careers
Spring term: Career choice
Summer term: Developing understanding of preferred career

Systematic Instruction is an approach that we use to support our learners develop independence and it is one of our core values.
Our programme includes appropriate work experience, work-place learning and work placements.

The Real Junk Food Project
Project: adopt a station: Portslade station
Art exhibition at Hove train station
